No rest for the wicked.

by Andrew MacGregor

Audi: “Fast Asleep” - 60s

Rare is the car ad that leaves test drives to the imagination, but that's precisely what Audi have done here. In fact, we barely see any of the marque's SUVs in action - but you can tell they've seen some action overnight.

As the unwitting driver of a car transporter sleeps in his cab, his mud-splattered cargo emerges from the surrounding woodland. Like teenagers sneaking home after a night out, the SUVs creep back onto the trailer with the gentlest of engine purrs.

A sneaky successor to 2015's 'Born Restless' commercial, BBH and director Marcus Söderlund's film trades spectacle for high-spec mischief. Scored by a cover of My Fair Lady's 'I Could Have Danced All Night', it neatly invites motorists to push the advertised SUVs to their limit.
