Amazon Echo: “Bedtime Story” - 60s

Adland rekindles its love affair with adopted swine courtesy of this ad for the Amazon Echo, which charts a young boy's friendship with his pet piglet, Charlie. At first the two youngsters have free reign, but, as any self-respecting farmer will tell you, size inevitably becomes an issue.

The animal's increasing bulk means mum and dad must intervene, even if that means ending their son and Charlie's sofa time for good. For those fearing the worst, however, Amazon have a kinder solution up their sleeve.

Naturally, it's another amiable demonstration of the advertised smart speaker's capabilities. Even if the scenario is familiar at this point, there's enough craft and oinksome charm on show to compensate.
