Adidas: Machine run.

by Andrew MacGregor

Adidas: “Speedfactory” - 60s

The future is now, according to this slick Adidas commercial. We learn how the brand's ‘Speedfactory’ shoes reach the city streets. While a NASA-style narrator extols “data-driven design” and “open source co-creation”, urban runners push their new shoes to the limit.

It’s a polished insight into the sportswear giant’s automated methods. Stink’s CD Morrish shifts between human and mechanical endeavour, while a muted palette ensures each splash of colour stands out. Enough to intrigue serious-minded joggers worldwide.
