Beat That

by Syd Briscoe

Acura: “Two Words” - 1 min 34s

Competition is the name of the game in this pacy film for Acura, as the marque claim to be defined by their ability to blow other cars away. Opening with a movie-worthy high speed chase and never slowing down from there, 'Beat That' proves an exercise in controlled adrenaline from director Mark Jenkinson.

From scientific smugness to animated crash tests, each scene ups the brand's game further. This sense of constant motion and improvement is capped with a pair of race car drivers having far too much fun to get off the track, with one dropping the f-word and justifying the ad's opening disclaimer. And no, we don't mean 'fast'.
