A tipple through time.

by Andrew MacGregor

Absolut Vodka: “The Walk” - 2 mins 36s

Since Absolut first commissioned Andy Warhol to turn their distinctive bottle into a work of art in 1985, the Swedish vodka makers have become synonymous with outré bottle designs and print ads. To mark the brand's latest talent drive, this engaging film charts four decades worth of artwork in one flowing execution.

As the protagonist saunters along a street-cum-art gallery, posters and fashions change with a strain of wry nostalgia - note the numerous Fad signs nestled throughout each well-crafted vignette.

Meanwhile, the bespoke soundtrack from String & Tins neatly incorporates New Romantic pop through to contemporary EDM. Depending on your vintage, however, certain genres may drive you to a particular Scandinavian spirit.
