Stink Tokyo are open for business.

by Andrew MacGregor

Stink look forward to a new dawn in the Land of the Rising Sun, so to speak, as the production company launch their new Japanese arm.

The imaginatively-named Stink Tokyo will be headed by executive producer Reiko Mori, who thinks her cosmopolitan roster will give the Japanese market a shot in the arm.

Mori says: "Japan has its own unique styles and systems in the ad industry. However, this does not mean we are not open to new ideas and talents - quite the opposite. I'm hoping to bring in new values to create 'sparks' and make the industry a more exciting place."

Mori also believes Stink Tokyo is a chance to show what some of Japan's up-and-coming directors are made of. Her goal is to eventually introduce homegrown talent to the ranks - something that Stink founder Daniel Bergmann is fully behind.

He says: "We believe there is great strength in our diversity at Stink. We have always been an international company, committed to amplifying creative voices from around the world."

We see Stink Tokyo as an essential addition to the family - one that will bring style and energy to the mix.

Daniel Bergmann, Stink founder.

On the launch of Stink's eleventh global office, Bergmann adds: "We see Stink Tokyo as an essential addition to our family - one that will bring style and energy to the mix and speak an aesthetic language that the new generation of consumer is looking for."
