MindsEye welcome Arno Salters.

by Andrew MacGregor

Self-described "Franco-British humanoid" Arno Salters is the latest to join MindsEye's raft of comedic talent.

The director claims the clincher for his signing was the promise of a new office ping-pong table, but Salters also points to his rapport with MindsEye founder Hughie Phillips as a deciding factor.

Salter explains: "Hughie came through with really strong enthusiasm and his plan for me totally aligned with my personal goals." These goals range from growing his commercial reel to further honing his intricate shooting approach… and perhaps improving his table tennis serve.

[Arno's] natural instinct for fun and captivating characters makes him a perfect fit for us.

Leisure activities aside, Salters aims to "counter the technical dimensions of a project by giving it as effortless a feel as possible" - an approach which paid off with his slick yet personable commercial for prefabricated home developers Clayton.

Such work led MindsEye founder Hughie Phillips to say: "We're delighted to welcome Arno. His inventive visual style, great eye for art direction, along with a natural instinct for fun and captivating characters make him a perfect fit for us."
